Very interesting. As always a lot of generalisations and it will depend on which Yanks / Brits you meet. The stereotypical 'American Tourist' was around up to the 70's, when I met Americans complaining about them, but I suspect is a rare creature these days.
Overall I suspect we both need to learn from each other.
